Hiking & Motorcycling

Hiking and Motorcycling

As we know, motorcycle enthusiasts enjoy beautiful scenery and nature from time to time. They go for long rides and live in the moment. There is one thing common in all motorcycle riders and that is “Passion.”

Yes, it is true. Moto GP racers love speed, Motocross racers love challenges, and Harley riders love to cruise around. But, that’s not all. There is another category of people who love to commute and also have an interest in exploring new things. They enjoy occasional long trips and adventure rides, which can help them to feel totally free. So, if you are looking to add an adventure in your motorcycle riding then you can consider the option of hiking.

You must be wondering, why hiking?

I’ll tell you why. A few years back, I was on a long trip on a country road in the mountain region. I had stopped to enjoy the view. But, that view was incomplete.

However, even though it was fantastic, it was not complete because I couldn’t reach the exact point of that fantastic view and my motorcycle had already taken me as far as I could go. So, instead of going back, I got off my bike and start walking.

Hiking & Motorcycling

I won’t lie; it was very difficult walking with the riding gear and helmet, especially when you have to walk for several meters. But, somehow, I did it.

And you won’t believe what I found at the end of my walk/hike?

I found a beautiful waterfall. And it turned out to be one of the most peaceful moments I ever had.

At that moment, I realized that sometimes riders missed out on a lot of amazing views and beautiful discoveries just because their bikes can’t reach the exact location and instead of walking, they turn back.

But, with proper riding gear, you can enjoy occasional hiking and walks along with your motorcycle riding. If your riding gear includes long motorcycle boots, a leather jacket, and gauntlet gloves, then no doubt you will face many difficulties while going for a little walk after getting off your motorcycle.

So, if you enjoy hiking and really want to do this, then you should wear Army boots, convertible riding pants, and bring a cable lock system to lock your valuables.

Army boots not only provide protection from gravel and stones while walking but also work as riding boots that are abrasion-resistant. And army boots are very reliable.

Similarly, convertible riding pants will allow you to ride comfortably in different climates. You won’t be stuck in cargo or denim in the hot summer. Instead, you can wear convertible riding pants in multiple seasons.

And last but not least, cable locks, which can be used to lock valuables and an extra pair of items while you are away from your bike, walking or hiking.

So, next time, you find an amazing lookout place, then please don’t continue missing out on a great view.
